Senior Childcare Support Worker

We are seeking experienced and nurturing individuals to join our team as Senior Activity and Intervention Support Workers. As a key member of our team, you will provide outstanding levels of childcare and support to our young people, enabling them to achieve amazing outcomes.
About the RoleThis is a challenging yet rewarding role, requiring a minimum of 12 months' experience in a children's residential care home. You will work in a two-bed service providing immediate intervention and trauma-informed, therapeutic support to our young people. Over a 12-week placement, you will provide security, support, and stabilisation in a nurturing and peaceful environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality childcare and support to our young people
- Work collaboratively with the team to deliver PACE principle residential care
- Support our young people in accessing education and participating in outdoor/adventure activities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with our young people, their families, and other professionals
- Contribute to the development and implementation of individual care plans
- A minimum of 12 months' experience in a children's residential care home
- A Level 3 (or above) diploma in residential childcare (or be close to completion)
- A full driving licence issued in the UK
- A keen interest in outdoor and adventure activities
- Applicants must have full right to work in the UK with no restrictions
- In-depth knowledge of Ofsted regulations, expectations, and best practice
- Training and experience in de-escalation, safe restraint, and physical intervention (such as Team Teach, MAPA, etc.)
- Values in line with Esland's, such as taking a therapeutic, person-centred approach to childcare
- Due to industry regulations, applicants must be aged 21 or above
