Valere Capital Partners LLP is seeking a Strategic Operations Director to oversee and optimise the operational efficiency of the organisation.

The purpose of this role is to proactively and effectively lead the efficient operation of the company, supporting and guiding the Principals in developing and delivering the business and operational objectives.

This is an opportunity for an individual to join a company with ambitious plans and contribute to its growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Principals to agree and document the long-term strategy for the business, develop the corporate structure, create action plans and monitor progress against key milestones.
  • Convene and chair board meetings to ensure effective decision-making and governance.
  • Oversee the financial operations, including accounting, to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders to gain insight into the business and control environment.
  • Ensure standardisation of processes and procedures across the business to improve operational efficiency.
  • Develop and improve management information, assess and potentially upgrade the IT infrastructure, including AI, to support business growth.
  • Assume responsibility for the design, implementation, and effective embedding of all governance and control actions to ensure compliance and risk management.
  • Review the operational effectiveness of the business, developing proposals for improvement where appropriate and establishing plans for delivery.
  • Show commitment to overall operational process, customer experience, and compliance standards.

About you:

  • Experience in a Chief Operating Officer or Director of Operations role, with a proven track record of improving operational efficiency.
  • Experience with the implementation of information and management systems, including IT infrastructure.
  • Ability to execute strategic vision and drive operational effectiveness, with effective decision-making skills and the ability to motivate a diverse team.
  • Professionalism, integrity, and discretion, with a strong understanding of corporate governance and risk management.
  • Accountancy qualification, desirable.
