Job Summary

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong background in project management and engineering delivery. As a Principal Project Delivery Manager at Thames Water, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of complex engineering projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage project plans, including cost, schedule, and resource estimates.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver engineering projects, ensuring that they meet the required technical, commercial, and regulatory standards.
  • Ensure that robust change controls are applied during project delivery, and that all changes are properly documented and approved.
  • Drive compliance with contractual requirements, including the engineering framework agreements.
  • Meet commercial, technical, and regulatory compliance requirements on engineering activities.
  • Assess and continuously improve engineering business processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Lead excellence in Engineering Delivery for Thames Water, ensuring that all projects are delivered to the highest standards.
  • Provide technical input into Project Needs, ensuring that project objectives are clearly defined and achievable.
  • Support the establishment of a commercially astute Engineering Centre of Excellence, providing guidance and expertise as needed.

    Requirements

    • Degree-level qualified or equivalent, with professional charters in an engineering discipline.
    • Knowledge of managing cost centers or project budgets, with experience in developing and managing project plans.
    • Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Understanding of the regulatory environment, with experience in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

    What We Offer

    • Competitive salary from £66,000 - £72,000 per annum.
    • Car allowance of £5,800.
    • 26 days holiday per year, increasing to 30 with length of service (plus bank holidays).
