About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Gastroenterology Consultant to join our team at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (NNUH). The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, conducting research, and contributing to the development of our academic gastroenterology department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide emergency endoscopy services, including management of varices, and participate in the upper GI bleeding rota.
  • Conduct research and publish papers in the area of gastroenterology, with a subspecialty interest in inflammatory bowel disease.
  • Collaborate with clinical colleagues, pathology staff, and support teams to ensure effective communication and patient care.
Requirements
  • Full GMC registration with a license to practice.
  • MRCP and CCT in General Medicine & Gastroenterology or equivalent.
  • Experience in research or published papers in gastroenterology, with a subspecialty interest in upper GI disease.
