Administrative Technician for Technical Products Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Technician to support our Technical Products department at Lyon Equipment Limited. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional administration support and technical expertise to our customers.

About the Role

This is a full-time position (37.5 hours per week) with a commencing salary in the region of £25,000-£27,000 dependent on experience. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and strong administration abilities.

Key Tasks
  • Providing administrative support for stretcher servicing – taking bookings, scheduling work in partnership with Production, supplying service certificates, document maintenance, invoicing for work carried out
  • Reviewing and enhancing servicing paperwork to improve ease of use and standardisation of service
  • Liaising with customers regarding technical products – responding to enquiries re: servicing, new products and accessories etc.
  • Supporting Technical Sales – processing of orders and quotations, obtaining prices for non-standard items, advice on alternatives / substitutions, technical enquiries, stock and account enquiries
  • Collaborating with the Head of Production, Technical Products and Contracts Officer, and Product Designers to produce product technical files for safety critical products
  • Liaising with Notified and Approved bodies re: updates to technical files
  • Updating work instructions as required, in particular for products covered by technical files, but also for other products and kits if needed (supporting the Production Technical Administrator)
  • Assisting with creation of user instructions – layout, content, wording
  • Other duties as required by the needs of the business
