The Activities Coordinator role at Ventry Care Homes is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our residents. We are seeking a compassionate and motivated individual to join our team and lead our activities programme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver a varied activities programme, promoting independence, choice, and dignity for our residents.
  • Assist in organising and participating in key events held throughout the year, including seasonal celebrations and charity events.
  • Motivate and inspire our residents, getting to know them as individuals, their interests, and their life stories.
  • Support resident and relative home meetings and participation forums.
  • Develop a resident newsletter at least every three months.

Requirements:

  • Level 2 (QCF) Supporting Activities Provision in Social Care - beneficial but not essential.
  • Experience working with older people and those living with dementia.
  • Caring and compassionate attitude.
  • Outgoing personality with a sensitive sense of humour.
  • Ability to lead and actively motivate volunteers.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
