About the Role:
On behalf of our client, a reputable groundworks and formworks specialist, we are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee a range of projects involving excavation, concrete formwork, and structural support systems.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven professional with substantial construction management experience to join a company renowned for quality and excellence in service delivery.
Role Overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and completing groundworks and formworks projects on time and within budget. You’ll work closely with the site team, subcontractors, and senior management to ensure that projects meet client specifications and maintain high standards in quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage all on-site activities, ensuring groundworks and formworks projects are completed to client specifications and meet company quality standards.
* Lead project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation, keeping projects on track for timely completion.
* Supervise and coordinate site staff, including subcontractors and labourers, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and project timelines.
* Monitor budgets and implement cost-control measures to keep projects within financial targets.
* Conduct regular site inspections to ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
* Prepare and present progress reports for senior management and clients, addressing any challenges and highlighting milestones.
* Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring open communication and high levels of client satisfaction.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Construction Manager in groundworks and formworks, with excellent technical knowledge.
* HND/HNC or equivalent qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
* CSCS, SMSTS, and First Aid certifications are essential.
* Exceptional leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
* Proficiency in project management software, particularly Microsoft Project.
