Prospero Teaching is seeking a CELTA Specialist Teaching Assistant to support students who speak English as an additional language in a large, diverse, mixed Ofsted Outstanding secondary school located in Kensington and Chelsea.
Key Responsibilities:- Support students learning of English as an additional language, tailoring support to match individual needs, observing, recording, and providing feedback on performance, and tracking language development.
- Liaise with teachers to develop and deliver high-quality interventions for CELTA students.
- CELTA / TEFL / CELTA qualification
- GCSEs and A levels
- Eligibility to work in the UK and willingness to apply for DBS disclosure
- A competitive rate of pay: GBP150 per day
- Induction and support from Prospero and the school
As a CELTA Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to develop and implement strategies to support students who speak English as a second language. You will be responsible for ensuring students are learning, developing, and implementing skills focusing on numeracy and literacy, and engaging students in the curriculum.
