Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with their learning, development, and progress in all areas of the curriculum
  • Help young people with complex medical needs and sensory/physical impairments to achieve their educational and personal goals
  • Develop a greater understanding of Special Education Needs and work towards getting formal qualifications

Requirements:

  • Passionate about working with children and young people with additional needs
  • Ambitious and determined to overcome barriers to learning
  • Capable of having a vision to see potential in students

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be working directly with students aged 4 to 11 who require an individualised, specialist approach. Our students are supported to manage sensory overload, anxiety, low self-esteem, low confidence, and difficulty with transitions.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We undertake safeguarding checks on all workers in accordance with DfE statutory guidance 'Keeping Children Safe in Education'. This may also include an online search as part of our due diligence on shortlisted applicants.
