Museum Learning Assistant

As a Museum Learning Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Museum Engagement Officer during school visits at the West Midlands Police Museum.
Main responsibilities include:
- Supporting museum tours, educational inputs, and hands-on activities to engage visitors of all ages.
- Collaborative and independent work, including costumed role-play to bring history to life.
- Outreach work in local schools and organisations to promote policing heritage.
- Improving customer service skills, particularly when interacting with children and young people.
- Lear ning about museums and heritage to enhance your knowledge and skills.
We are seeking an individual with a passion for policing heritage and museums who can confidently engage with the public, especially children and young people.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be willing to travel to the Lock-Up and other venues, and be available to work mostly term-time Monday to Friday 10am-4pm.
Estimated Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum depending on experience.
