Learning Support Assistant

Job Role:
As an experienced Teaching Assistant, you will be working with small classes on a 1-2-1 and group basis, assisting the class teacher in ensuring that the needs of children are met.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting children with special educational needs
- Working with a team of Teaching Assistants and Classroom Assistants to plan group activities and support children's needs
- Providing 1-2-1 assistance/intervention for children who are struggling in class
- Making learning fun and engaging for pupils
- Supporting an experienced class teacher in delivering lessons and managing behaviours where required
Requirements:
- You must hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant/Classroom Assistant qualification or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 months experience supporting children with special educational needs
- A Valid DBS that is on the update service, or be willing to get one
- Understanding of the Classroom Assistant/Teaching Assistant role
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
