Administrative Support Officer

Job Summary
To provide a high-quality administration and secretarial service to the multi-disciplinary team at Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining confidentiality, dealing sensitively with complex information, and providing exceptional customer care.
Main Duties of the Job
- Provide comprehensive secretarial and administration support to the team, including maintaining established admin systems and inputting data into electronic systems.
- Receive and respond to incoming telephone calls, taking messages and making follow-up calls as necessary.
- Support the management team with staff sickness reporting, annual leave, and other administrative tasks.
- Undertake additional projects as identified by the Admin Manager.

Qualifications
Essential
- GCSE level or equivalent in Maths and English.
- Minimum Stage 2 RSA or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Experience of working with the public.
- Ability to deal with difficult situations and aggressive behaviour/language.
- Ability to organise and prioritise workload.
- Ability to liaise with service users, professionals, and the public.
- Positive approach/attitude to mental health services and service users.
- Ability to deal with varying demands with professionalism, tact, and diplomacy.
- Ability to promote and develop new ideas/opportunities for innovation.
Desirable
- RSA Stage 2 Audio Typing and relevant experience.
- Advanced keyboard and touch-typing skills.
- Ability to assist the broader team in IT systems.
- Experience of working in a similar role in a Health/Social Care setting.
- Working knowledge of NHS systems.
