We are seeking an experienced Estates Manager to join our team at Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Estates Operational Maintenance Team, you will be responsible for providing effective management of our estates portfolio, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks and delivering high-quality services to our patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the day-to-day planning and delivery of operational and maintenance functions, including building fabric, building services, and associated engineering systems and equipment.
- Coordinate the in-house maintenance team and specialist contractors or service providers to ensure a normal hours service and out-of-hours emergency service.
- Develop and implement contingency and business continuity strategies and processes to ensure the smooth running of the service in the event of major disruption or disaster.
- Ensure adequate stocks of estates operational-related materials, parts, and equipment, and source non-stock parts or complete off-site repairs in a timely manner.
- Education to degree level, HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Building Services.
- Experience in a management position of the operational management of a large estate, including building fabric, building services, and associated engineering systems and equipment.
- Extensive experience in electrical/mechanical or building services engineering.
- Contribution to and implementation of Estates services strategies and action plans, including experience of writing action plans, reports, and planning.
