About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Estate Services Officer to join our Estates team on a full-time, permanent basis. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a team of gardeners and cleaners across multiple housing schemes in Barnsley, Rotherham, and Sheffield.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of gardeners and cleaners to deliver and maintain an excellent level of cleaning, gardening, and grounds services.
  • Facilitate and schedule estates services, ensuring work is delivered in line with agreed budgets and in compliance with Health & Safety, COSHH, and PPE legislation.
  • Liaise with customers on site to identify service improvements, report repairs, fly tipping, graffiti, and safeguarding alerts.
  • Monitor stock and supply of allocated equipment, confirming compliance checks are in place to ensure safety of use.
Requirements
  • Strong track record of leading a team to deliver exceptional levels of customer service.
  • Experience of managing remote working teams and staff members, including strong performance management skills.
  • Track record of working to agreed standards, specifications, and timescales.
  • Experience of delivering high-quality estate services, including grounds maintenance, gardening, and compliance activities.
  • Direct experience of working with customers and customer feedback in a service delivery environment.
  • Understanding and knowledge of compliance processes and relevant Health and Safety legislation.
  • Experience of budget management, cost control, and stock management.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Able to demonstrate Guinness Behaviours.
  • Hold a current full UK driving license.
Desirable Experience and Qualifications
  • Experience of delivering services, taking into account Health & Safety legislation and compliance processes.
  • Understanding of the workings of service charges.
  • Understanding of how to use mobile working devices, such as smartphones or tablets.
  • Horticulture NVQ, BTEC, or relevant professional qualification.
  • Institute of Occupational Safety and Health Certification.
