Job Title: Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Marshalls PLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our busy Maintenance Team at our St Ives Manufacturing site in Cambridgeshire.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the continuous running of the production process by eliminating downtime through a safe and logical approach to fault finding and maintenance of equipment.
  • Work on various types of equipment including complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic control systems.
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance strategies to minimize equipment downtime and optimize production efficiency.
  • Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve maintenance-related issues.
  • Conduct regular equipment inspections and maintenance activities to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Requirements:
  • A good mechanical working knowledge with electrical experience is essential.
  • Time served/apprentice trained in a similar position ideally with Electrical qualifications (C&G 2320 P1 & P2, ONC, NVQ 3 or equivalent).
  • A thorough understanding of the IEE 18th edition.
  • Good understanding of current environmental and health and safety issues and knowledge of regulatory requirements.
  • Practical hands-on approach.
  • Significant experience, understanding, and knowledge of the maintenance of a variety of plant.
  • Experience in electrical fault finding, defect rectification, and routine maintenance activities.
  • Ability to interrogate/understand maintenance problems to provide accurate plant condition information/recommendations.
  • Excellent communication skills, dealing with operatives, Team leaders from both maintenance and production.
