Maintenance Technician Role

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Sanctuary Care. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents and staff, as well as maintaining the overall presentation of the home and garden.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform regular health and safety checks to create a safe environment for everyone.
  • Collaborate with residents, their families, and colleagues to ensure effective communication.
  • Liaise with contractors to coordinate their services and ensure high-quality work.
  • Occasionally visit other homes to provide cover or participate in planned maintenance activities.

Requirements

  • Practical skills in recognizing and performing minor repairs, including basic plumbing skills and DIY experience.
  • Fundamental knowledge of health and safety protocols, including familiarity with Legionella disease.
  • A valid driver's license and access to personal transportation.
  • Ability to use an iPad and/or laptop, as well as compliance applications.
