About the Role:

The Senior Estates Surveyor will be responsible for managing the council's assets and properties, working closely with internal services, external partners, and stakeholders to drive revenue generation and social value. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in commercial and corporate estates management, with a strong understanding of landlord and tenant work, leasing, and general estates management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the council's assets and properties, including disposals, development agreements, and leasing.
  • Work closely with internal services, external partners, and stakeholders to drive revenue generation and social value.
  • Provide expert advice on commercial and corporate estates management, including landlord and tenant work.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize asset utilization and maximize revenue.
  • Collaborate with the Valuation and Strategic Assets team to ensure alignment with the council's goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • MRICS qualification or equivalent experience in commercial and corporate estates management.
  • Extensive experience in landlord and tenant work, leasing, and general estates management.
  • Strong understanding of H&S legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and develop strategic recommendations.
