Community Support Worker - Children and Young People

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Community Support Worker to join our team in Cambridgeshire, working with disabled children and young people and their families.

Our ideal candidate will be a good driver, happy, and smiley, with a passion for working with children and young people. They will have experience of working with individuals with varying needs and be able to communicate effectively with both children and young people and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working within professional boundaries to ensure the safety and well-being of children and young people
  • Showing respect for others' feelings, views, and circumstances
  • Communicating and building rapport with children and young people with varying needs and their families
  • Working independently to organise and plan your own workload

Requirements:

  • Experience of working with children and young people or adults with a disability
  • Understanding of the principles and limits of confidentiality
  • Evidence of awareness of the impact of oppression and discrimination
  • Consideration of the significance of safeguarding
  • Diploma (or NVQ) at Level 2 in a Childcare-related subject or be willing to work towards it
