Community Support Worker - Children and Young People

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Community Support Worker to join our team in Cambridgeshire, working with disabled children and young people and their families.

Our ideal candidate will have experience working with children and young people or adults with a disability, and a strong understanding of the principles and limits of confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Building rapport with children and young people with varying needs, and their families
  • Working independently to organise and plan your own workload
  • Communicating effectively with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Providing support and guidance to children and young people

Requirements:

  • Diploma (or NVQ) at Level 2 in a Childcare related subject or be willing to work towards it
  • Experience of working with children and young people or adults with a disability
  • Understanding of the principles and limits of confidentiality
  • Evidence of awareness of the impact of oppression and discrimination
