Job Title: Apprentice Community Support Worker

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Community Support Worker to join our team at Grafham Water Center. As a Community Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young people with disabilities and their families.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality support to children and young people, promoting their independence, and empowering them to reach their full potential. You will work closely with our team to develop and implement personalized support plans, ensuring that each individual receives the best possible care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to children and young people with disabilities, promoting their independence and empowering them to reach their full potential.
  • Develop and implement personalized support plans, working closely with our team to ensure that each individual receives the best possible care and support.
  • Build strong relationships with children, young people, and their families, providing emotional support and guidance when needed.
  • Work collaboratively with our team to identify and address the needs of children and young people, ensuring that their support plans are regularly reviewed and updated.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge, ensuring that you are equipped to provide the best possible support to our service users.
Requirements
  • Experience of working with children and young people with disabilities, or a willingness to learn and develop your skills in this area.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, young people, and their families.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours and a willingness to travel to different locations.
  • Knowledge of the principles of safeguarding and confidentiality, with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
  • Diploma (or NVQ) at Level 2 in a Childcare-related subject, or a willingness to work towards it.
