Organisational Programme Lead

About the Role

The Organisational Programme Lead will be responsible for overseeing the management and delivery of our annual programme of events, including The BIG Futures Show, Eastbourne Youth Radio, Young & Junior Engineers, Junior Enterprise, Young Chef, and In-Bloom. The role will involve working closely with stakeholders, partners, and volunteers to ensure successful event execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Programme Management: Oversee the planning, coordination, and delivery of all events within the annual programme.
  • Partnerships & Collaboration: Foster strong relationships with local stakeholders, including Eastbourne Borough Council, education institutions, and businesses.
  • Public Relations & Networking: Represent Recruitment South East at local forums, conferences, and events, promoting our mission and objectives.
  • Event Management: Organise, plan, and deliver all events, including sourcing venues, materials, catering, and volunteers.
  • Financial Management: Manage budgets, secure sponsorships, and contribute to grant applications.
  • Board Support: Provide administrative support to the board of trustees, including acting as secretary during meetings.

Required Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery within budget.
  • Leadership: Experience leading teams and engaging stakeholders across different sectors.
  • Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills, with a proven ability to build partnerships and achieve win-win outcomes.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of addressing diverse audiences.
  • Partnership Building: Experience in building and maintaining successful partnerships and coalitions.
  • Innovation: Ability to think critically and find creative solutions to challenges.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, cost control, and profit & loss (P&L) oversight.

Salary and Benefits

This full-time position comes with a competitive salary of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additional benefits include a generous holiday entitlement, pension scheme, and opportunities for professional development.
