Our Sales team

The GlobalData Sales team operates at the face of our business, introducing clients to our trusted strategic intelligence. With an established book of market-leading brands and the scope to build accounts from scratch, there is a real opportunity for sales talent at all levels to learn and develop in our growing business.

The team is led by a strong management team who offer training, development, and coaching that allows both early and experienced talent to progress in their career.

We're looking for Account Managers to join our Pharma team, where we are a leading business intelligence provider in the Pharmaceutical and Medical Device markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute sales plans to identify further cross-selling and upselling business opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Drive revenue and renewal business.
  • Retention and growth of approximately 50-60 GlobalData clients worth in excess of £1m, covering a range of companies across the manufacturing, drug development, and services sectors of the Pharmaceutical industry.
  • Facilitate meetings and deliver relevant, impactful client presentations to senior management level clients that present our full range of services as meaningful solutions.
  • Prepare high-quality proposals and successfully negotiate to win profitable new business and grow renewals.
  • Achieve monthly sales revenue targets based on new business, alongside growth of existing subscriptions.
  • Identify new business and revenue growth opportunities.
  • Prepare account reviews, plans, and accurate sales forecasts.
  • Contribute to the larger business by providing relevant client feedback and intelligence to the product development and marketing teams.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years' experience within a business-to-business environment of the Pharmaceutical industry.
  • A successful track record in outgoing sales and account management.
  • Client-focused with a good network of information buyers within a number of verticals.
  • Proven ability to engage with C-level decision-makers and coordinate activity on major accounts.
  • Demonstrate a proven and successful track record of growing accounts.
  • Strong quantitative skills, comfortable with financial data, corporate and market statistics, and other aspects of company & market analysis and consulting.
  • Be a strong influencer with commercial acumen who understands negotiation techniques and applies them to secure and close deals.
  • Be highly motivated and driven, with a natural flair for relationship building, to ensure you achieve your individual revenue targets while maintaining robust sales pipelines.
