About the Role

Avante Care & Support is a Registered Charity that provides support to older people through our registered nursing and dementia care homes and home care services. We are seeking an experienced Activities Coordinator to join our team at Parkview in Bexleyheath.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a varied programme of social, cultural and recreational activities that cater to the individual needs of our residents, promoting independence and a fulfilling quality of life.

Main Responsibilities

  • Organise and deliver a range of activities that stimulate body and mind, including music and movement, games, quizzes, and external activities in the surrounding community.
  • Work with staff, families, and volunteers to enhance the care and support of residents.
  • Develop and implement individualised care plans that meet the unique needs of each resident.

Requirements

  • Health & Social Care NVQ 2 or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in recreational activities and creating an elder-centred community.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
