Job IntroductionWe are seeking a dedicated and passionate Male Support Worker to join our team in Tameside. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with complex needs, including autism, learning disabilities, and challenging behaviours.
Key Responsibilities- Promote the independence of the people we support
- Support a full range of daily activities, including cleaning, cooking, and days out
- Develop residents' life skills and personal interests
- Assist with personal care needs and manual handling
- Support people with medication
- Support people through their highs and lows with sensitivity and empathy
- Maintain accurate record keeping and contribute to service monitoring requirements
We are looking for a caring and proactive individual who is passionate about supporting people with learning disabilities. As a Support Worker, you will need to be able to:
- Respond to supported people in a sensitive and empowering way
- Be patient, calm, and non-judgmental
- Communicate effectively and deal with behaviours of concern
- Follow routines and guidelines that meet the needs of the people we support
