Financial Leadership Expert

The Finance Director will provide leadership and management of all aspects of finance, and contribute to the strategic direction of the organisation. As a key member of the Leadership Team, the Finance Director will play an important part in the strategic leadership of the organisation and will be responsible for the directional development and evolution of the finance function as the organisation grows.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the operational line management of the finance function, managing delivery of all financial accounting and transactional finance for the organisation, ensuring all systems are up-to-date and reporting is timely and in line with required annual financial returns. You will work with our school finance leads and other external partners to co-ordinate with the work of the external auditor to prepare and submit audited statutory consolidated accounts.
This role will require you to keep ahead of funding and legislative changes and you will be required to provide regular high quality reporting and strategic financial information to the Board of Directors to enable them to make informed financial decisions and maximise the financial position of the organisation. You will implement robust systems, processes and controls to monitor financial performance, driving change within the finance operation of the organisation, bringing greater efficiency in the way the organisation carries out its business.
