About the Role:
Brook Street Recruitment is excited to represent a fast-growing client in the food retail industry. They're seeking an experienced and driven Accounts / Bookkeeping Assistant to support their expanding finance team.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and maintain sales and purchase ledgers
• Perform bank and cash reconciliations
• Prepare supplier payments and weekly financial reports
• Handle credit card and petty cash recording and reconciliation
• Process staff expenses, providing support with ad hoc analytical reports and projects as required

Experience & Skills Required:
• Minimum 2 years as a Bookkeeper or Accounts Assistant, ideally within a multi-department or multi-site organisation
• Proficiency in Xero or Sage Line 50 (Datamolino knowledge is beneficial but not essential)
• Part-qualified or actively studying towards accountancy exams preferred
• Strong PC skills, particularly Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); excellent time management and attention to detail
• Enthusiastic, proactive, and confident with a strong work ethic
• A team player with a desire to grow
