Electrical Area Supervisor Role Overview

The Electrical Area Supervisor is a key position within the Thorpe Park Resort, responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of the electrical operations. This role requires a strong leader who can effectively manage a team of professionals, ensuring the highest standards of safety and efficiency are maintained.


Key Responsibilities:

Health and Safety: The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and controlling health and safety activities within their area of responsibility, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.


Team Management: As a team leader, the Electrical Area Supervisor will be responsible for facilitating the Technical Services – Operations team interface, enhancing communication practices between groups, and supporting marketing initiatives when necessary.


Financial Stewardship: The role requires the ability to demonstrate and monitor sound financial stewardship and control within the scope of activities and authority, ensuring the effective management of resources.


Technical Expertise: The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to enhancing organisational capability through the consistent demonstration and role modelling of technical expertise and behavioural competencies.


Team Development: As a mentor and inspiration to all colleagues, the Electrical Area Supervisor will be responsible for identifying, nurturing, growing, and retaining a technically strong, mutually supportive, and committed team of professionals.


Core Values: The role requires the ability to promote and champion the delivery of core Technical Services values, mission, and objectives, ensuring implementation throughout the work team while maintaining alignment with Resort priorities.


Technical Resource: The successful candidate will be the primary technical resource, reacting to planned and unplanned situations and events, managing situations as necessary through consistent performance in carrying out the responsibilities of the Echo 1 role.


Requirements:

To be successful in this role, the candidate will need to possess strong people skills, leadership skills, and an ability to clearly focus on the planning and preparation of activities administered by the engineering teams throughout the operational season and winter maintenance period.


The role requires a blend of highly developed technical competences commensurate with the scope of the role, complemented by demonstrable behavioural competencies that are the hallmarks of an effective and respected team supervisor.

This role is paying £47,362 - £50,383 per annum.
