Job Summary:
NHS Professionals is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Respiratory Registrar to join our team at The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust. As a Respiratory Registrar, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our respiratory services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough clinical examinations and order diagnostic tests to inform treatment plans.
- Develop and implement effective treatment plans for patients with chronic respiratory conditions.
- Provide ongoing care and monitoring for patients with respiratory conditions, ensuring optimal management of symptoms and prevention of exacerbations.
- Manage respiratory patients admitted to the hospital, including those in general medical wards, respiratory units, and intensive care units.
- Perform a variety of respiratory procedures, such as bronchoscopy, pleural aspiration, chest drain insertion, and thoracentesis, under the supervision of senior respiratory physicians.
Requirements:
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of respiratory medicine.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.
