Respiratory Medicine Consultant

Job Summary
The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a dedicated and experienced Consultant Physician in Respiratory Medicine to join our team. As a key member of our department, you will provide high-quality care to patients with respiratory conditions, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent patient outcomes.
Main Responsibilities
Key responsibilities of the post include:
- Providing comprehensive respiratory and general medicine services to patients
- Participating in the management and development of the specialty, including the introduction of new services
- Contributing to the General Medicine educational programme, including weekly departmental meetings and teaching
- Joining clinical supervision of STs in Respiratory Medicine
- Participating in Multidisciplinary Team Meetings, both specialty and ward based
- Participating in medical audit and review of performance for the Service against the National Targets for Lung Cancer
- Participating in the Trust consultant appraisal process
- Achieving the requirements for Continuing Professional Development as laid down by the Royal College of Physicians
