Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Social & Emotional Support Worker to work in a Secondary School in Central Bristol. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to join our team and make a positive impact on the lives of students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing emotional wellbeing support to students with SEMH needs;
  • Working closely with teachers and other professionals to develop tailored plans and strategies to meet individual needs;
  • Developing and implementing behavioral support plans;
  • Monitoring and evaluating student progress and adjusting strategies as needed;
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting to senior management as required.

Person Specification

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant qualifications and experience in a similar role;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and prioritize tasks effectively;
  • Strong knowledge of child development theories and practices;
  • Experience of developing and implementing behavioral support plans;
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies related to SEND.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £25,000-£30,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits including pension scheme, life insurance, and access to ongoing training and development opportunities.
