Child Wellbeing Advocate

We are seeking a Child Wellbeing Advocate to support the mental health needs of young people in our specialist school based in Bristol. This role involves working with children and adolescents aged 8-18 who have experienced trauma, mental health challenges, and behavioral issues.
About the Role- Provide emotional support and guidance to students with Social and Emotional Mental Health needs
- Full-time hours (Mon-Fri 8am-4pm) with an ASAP start
- Location: Bristol
Our school provides a supportive environment for our staff, with great transport links and opportunities for professional growth. We offer a competitive salary of £83.15 per day for this position. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Psychology, Counselling, or Criminology, although relevant experience is also desirable.
Key Responsibilities- Work alongside therapists and psychologists to develop and implement individualized plans to support students' wellbeing and personal development
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure seamless support
- Develop strategies to promote positive behavior and engage students in their learning
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience working with students with Special Educational Needs, including Autism and ADHD. Our team is passionate about providing high-quality support and education to our students, and we are looking for someone who shares our commitment.
Requirements- Level 3 qualification+ (Degree preferred)
- Experience working with SEN children and/or adults (not essential but desired)
- Ability to work proactively, adapt to changing situations, and use initiative when needed
