Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum

Job Description:

As a Commercial Expansion Specialist at Foodsteps, you will be one of the first Account Executives in the commercial team, working closely with the founders and senior team members to expand the business.

  • Become a key player in developing outbound strategies to create opportunities on a named account list and drive new logo acquisition.
  • Develop account plans for each of your accounts based on a defined ICP and Personas.
  • Drive the full sales cycle from lead to close, leveraging internal stakeholders at each stage based on the playbook.
  • Consistently build champions and develop relationships with stakeholders within your target accounts, whilst leveraging the senior team to create exec stakeholder relationships and land new logos.
  • Work with the Foodsteps team to build and deliver compelling business cases, run successful pilots, and prove the value of the Foodsteps solution with your clients.
  • Understand deeply the challenges your prospective clients face related to their Net Zero transition to position the Foodsteps solution appropriately.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of closing experience in a B2B software or technology sales environment, ideally within an early-stage business.
  • Motivation for rapid development and an eagerness to work closely with the founder of a scaling business.
  • Adaptability to succeed in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where the answer is not always clear.
  • A willingness to generate your own pipeline, with a proven track record in driving new business whilst always looking for ways to generate revenue with your clients through strategic approaches.
  • A disciplined, methodical and process-driven sales approach – you'll be skilled in managing time and resources; communicating excellently to leverage internal stakeholders to support your ability when closing deals.
  • A desire to deeply understand your prospects' business, engaging with multiple stakeholders of their business to uncover areas of opportunity.
  • Achievement orientation and high energy, resulting in excellence in the past as a top performer in your previous roles.
