Data Management Director

Join M&S as a Data Management Leader and play a pivotal role in driving business growth and profitability through effective data-driven decision making.
About the RoleAs a Data Management Leader, you will be responsible for implementing the retail plan and delivering key performance indicators (KPIs) for your area of accountability. You will also be expected to recruit and develop great talent within the customer assistant team, ensuring succession requirements are met.
You will support the store to trade safely and legally, protecting customers, colleagues, and the M&S brand. Additionally, you will be responsible for delivering and embedding business transformation plans and change initiatives for your area.
Key responsibilities include creating a multiskilled team, coaching and training to fully utilize tools available to serve and sell well. You will use data and insight to improve customer in-store experience, operation, and performance.
Regular performance reviews will be conducted through quality conversations, managing underperformance where required, and celebrating success. You will also be responsible for maintaining a safe and legal store environment.
Key Leadership CapabilitiesSuccessful candidates will have the ability to embed change for lasting commercial impact and results. They will spend time coaching colleagues to accelerate performance and personal growth, recognizing high performance and supporting poor performers to improve.
They will also help teams understand information and business messages by actively seeking out opinions and asking questions.
