Head of Food and Beverage

ASM Global is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Food and Beverage to join our team at Becketwell Live in Derby. As a key member of our Senior Management Team, you will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of the F&B department, ensuring exceptional service standards, strict adherence to food safety protocols, and driving revenue growth.
About Becketwell LiveBecketwell is a cutting-edge events complex with a capacity of up to 3,500 people, hosting a variety of events including corporate conferences, exhibitions, trade shows, concerts, comedy performances, family shows, and sporting events. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a brand-new venue from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities:- Contribute to the venue's strategic plans and objectives, providing inspired direction for the F&B department.
- Assist in developing and delivering the business plan by optimizing revenue streams, maximizing cost efficiencies, and implementing innovative strategies.
- Ensure adherence to F&B SOPs, manage administrative duties, and oversee event setups, bar areas, and restaurant services.
- Implement and monitor food safety policies, ensuring compliance with regulations, HACCP procedures, and the company's Food Safety Management System.
- Oversee recruitment, training, and development of the F&B team, ensuring efficient staffing for events and compliance with SOPs and safety standards.
- Experience of working in a senior role in a similar, high-volume, customer-focused venue.
- Holder of a Personal Licence (desirable).
- Level 3 Award in Food Safety for Catering.
- Level 2 Award in Food Allergen Awareness and Control in Catering.
- Level 2 Award in HACCP for Catering.
- Knowledge of the local and regional entertainment offers and venues.
- Sound knowledge of budgeting, stock, and margin control.
- Ability to manage several tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Excellent organisation and planning skills with the ability to work flexibly.
- Experience in the management of statutory requirements.
