Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Supervising Social Worker to join our client, a well-established local council, as a Fostering Senior Supervising Social Worker. This role involves providing high-quality support and supervision to foster carers while working in a collaborative, child-centred environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support and supervise foster carers, ensuring the delivery of high standards of care for looked-after children.
  • Undertake assessments of new foster carers and ensure compliance with fostering regulations.
  • Develop and review care plans for children, working closely with multi-agency teams to ensure best outcomes.
  • Provide guidance, training, and development opportunities for foster carers.
  • Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed in all aspects of fostering.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Social Worker with HCPC/SWE registration.
  • Proven experience in fostering or children's services.
  • Strong assessment, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and effectively manage a caseload.
