Key Objectives/Deliverables
As a Sales Director at Genesis Technology Services, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and customer engagement. Reporting to the CEO, you will contribute to the company's strategic direction and stay informed about market developments. Your role will involve identifying potential customer opportunities and aligning them with Genesis' strategic objectives. You will need to possess strong market intelligence and be able to track trends to positively impact the company's growth. Additionally, you will require excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities
The Sales Director will be responsible for:

  1. Establishing and maintaining relationships with key decision-makers in the industry.
  2. Developing and executing sales strategies to drive revenue growth.
  3. Overseeing the lead generation and conversion process, working closely with the sales and delivery teams.
  4. Preparing and presenting business cases to Genesis management for approval.
  5. Maximizing company profits for direct accounts handled.
  6. Supporting the development of sales strategies to maintain Genesis' competitive edge.

Operational Experience

  1. Proven knowledge and experience of the telecommunications market.
  2. A high-performing individual with a track record of career success.
  3. Established relationships with key decision-makers in customer organizations.
  4. Ability to navigate the UK telecommunications market effectively.
  5. Ability to identify opportunities and apply the most effective strategies to convert them into revenue realization for Genesis.

Person Specifications

  1. A dynamic and energetic individual with a strong work ethic.
  2. Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Proficiency in business case writing and financial modeling.
  5. Astute and able to operate at all levels.
  6. Knowledge and experience of other markets.
  7. Strong presentation skills.
  8. Attention to detail and ability to accomplish tasks by considering all areas involved.
  9. Ability to develop, maintain, and strengthen partnerships.

Academic & Technical Background

  1. At least 10 years' experience in a comparable role.
  2. Relevant Sales and Marketing qualification, preferably an MBA.
  3. Demonstrable success in similar roles.
  4. Ability to multitask and prioritize to ensure timely deliveries.
  5. Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders in a multicultural environment.
