Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Care Assistant to join our team at Lancashire County Council. As a Residential Care Assistant, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to older adults in our residential care homes. Your role will involve assisting with daily tasks, promoting independence, and enhancing the overall quality of life for our residents.

About the Role:

This part-time role is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of older people. You will be working with a committed team that provides care to over 1,000 adults across Lancashire. Our care homes and day centres offer a range of services, including support for older adults, people living with dementia, and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assist with daily tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and medication administration.
  2. Support residents with their personal care and well-being.
  3. Encourage independence and participation in activities.
  4. Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement care plans.
  5. Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You should be able to work effectively as part of a team and demonstrate empathy and compassion towards our residents. A reliable and flexible approach to work is essential, as you will be required to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
