We are seeking a detail-oriented and committed Assistant Management Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in Chester. As an integral part of our finance department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting various accounting functions.

About the Job:
  1. You will assist in the preparation of month-end reports, balance sheet reconciliations, and budgets, ensuring timely completion and accuracy.

  2. Prepare cash flow analyses for review and provide recommendations for improvement.

  3. Monitor accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.

  4. Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records, including expense reports and receipts.

  5. Assist with financial audits and compliance requirements.

  6. Work closely with other departments to gather financial information and provide support as needed.

  7. Participate in financial analysis and forecasting activities.

Requirements:
  • AAT qualified or relevant experience.
  • Proficient in using accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial transactions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with international revenue recognition standards.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and a best practice approach.
Compensation:

The salary for this role is £25,500 - £29,000 per annum, reflecting the competitive market rate for an entry-level Accountant in Chester.
