At the University of Cambridge, we are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Team Leader to join our finance division on a temporary contract. This role is part of the payroll department and involves deputising for the Payroll Manager and supporting the management and operation of all seven payrolls.

The successful candidate will be responsible for directly managing 2 members of staff and regularly deputising for the Payroll Manager in their absence. With approximately 24,000 employees paid over 15 payrolls and five pay frequencies, experience of dealing with volume payrolls in a management capacity is essential.

The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of current and past payroll legislation and procedures, including year-end processes. This role is on a hybrid basis and will be working in the office 2 days a week.
