Job Description: The Nutrition Assistant Manager will oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring that all food services meet the highest quality standards and adhere to infection control and quality management standards.

Job Summary: This position involves managing a team of kitchen staff, coordinating meal preparation and service, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Team Management: Manage a team of kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  2. Meal Planning and Coordination: Coordinate meal preparation and service, ensuring that all dietary needs are met.
  3. Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized work area, completing scheduled cleaning duties as assigned.
  4. Equipment Operation: Able to operate institutional cooking equipment, such as dishwashers, conveyor toasters, and meat-slicers.
  5. Quality Control: Monitor food quality and ensure that all food services meet the highest standards.
Requirements
  1. Previous experience in a supervisory role.
  2. Familiarity with proper food service and handling procedures.
  3. Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  4. Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
  5. Must pass Vulnerable Sector Check (Ontario applicants) and Criminal Records Check (British Columbia applicants).

Salary: $55,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience.
