Learning Disability Care Specialist

We are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work with children who have Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) in Bradford. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and support to our students. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, patience, and a caring nature.
Responsibilities:
- Personal Care: Assist with daily living tasks such as personal hygiene, toileting, and dressing.
- Feeding Tubes: Support children with feeding tubes, ensuring their nutritional needs are met.
- Moving and Handling: Safely move and handle children, using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Classroom Support: Assist teachers in delivering tailored educational activities and supporting the classroom environment.
- Communication: Facilitate effective communication using various methods, including sign language and communication boards.
- Emotional Support: Provide emotional and social support to children, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Health and Safety: Ensure the safety and well-being of all students, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
