Job Overview

Langton not for profit is seeking a highly motivated Senior Youth Development Worker to join their team. This exciting opportunity will provide the successful candidate with the chance to make a positive impact on the lives of young people.

This role will involve working within the Young Peoples Services department, providing guidance and support to individuals who are struggling in their schools or on their estates. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to build strong relationships with young people, parents, and other stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Mentor and support young people in their schools and on their estates
  • Work closely with parents and other stakeholders to provide a holistic support package
  • Develop and deliver programmes to promote positive youth development

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships with young people, parents, and other stakeholders
  • Experience of working with young people who are on the edge of school exclusion, mental health issues or Serious Youth Violence
