Job Title: Senior Care Professional

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Care Professional to join our team at SuperCare Residential. As a Senior Care Professional, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to vulnerable children and young people.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Direct work with young people, key working, and providing day-to-day care and support on a shift work basis.
  • Working in partnership with young people, their social workers, and other relevant agencies to ensure their needs are met.
  • Coordinating, monitoring, and reviewing care plans for allocated young people, preparing them for transition to adulthood and greater independence.
  • Taking responsibility for the upkeep of the establishment, ensuring health and safety, and making autonomous decisions about individual young people's requests and behavior.
  • Administrative work and record-keeping associated with key working responsibilities and the daily running of the home.
  • Ensuring young people take responsibility for their lives, keeping them informed of their circumstances and rights, involving them in planning, supporting them, and helping them towards greater control and responsibility.
  • Responding appropriately to safeguarding concerns and reporting them effectively.
  • Attending to daily needs, including bathing, feeding, and cooking for young people.

Household Responsibilities:

  • Sharing in practical activities necessary to maintain the house.
  • Caring for the fabric, equipment, and overall environment.
  • Being accountable for moneys allocated for specific purposes.
  • Reporting repairs and ensuring necessary actions are taken.

Personal:

  • Acting as a role model and guide for young people, setting principles and examples.
  • Keeping abreast of good practice to develop skills, knowledge, and experience, in accordance with a personal development plan.
  • Making use of regular professional supervision.
  • Reporting to a line manager or other appropriate person, any malpractice or evidence suggesting it.

Additional Duties:

  • Carrying out any other reasonable duties as requested by management.
  • Working shifts, including weekends and bank holidays, on a rota basis as required.
  • Flexibility to work at other properties as directed by management.

Requirements:

  • Experience of working with children/young people in an Ofsted environment.
  • Level 3 CYPW or above.
  • Enhanced DBS Check and on the update service.
  • Ability to drive.
  • Smart and agile to handle daily needs and activities of young people.
