Job Title: Senior Care Worker

At SuperCare Residential, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Care Worker to join our team. As a Senior Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to vulnerable children and young people.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct care and support to young people, including key working and daily living activities.
  • Work in partnership with young people, their social workers, and other agencies to ensure their needs are met.
  • Coordinate and review care plans for allocated young people, promoting their transition to adulthood and greater independence.
  • Take responsibility for the upkeep of the establishment, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for all.
  • Conduct administrative tasks and record-keeping associated with key working responsibilities.
  • Empower young people to take control of their lives, making informed decisions and taking responsibility for their actions.
  • Respond to safeguarding concerns and report them effectively.
Household Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to maintaining the house, including practical activities and ensuring the environment is clean and safe.
  • Care for the fabric, equipment, and overall environment of the house.
  • Manage allocated funds for specific purposes.
  • Report repairs and ensure necessary actions are taken.
Personal Development:
  • Act as a role model and guide for young people, setting principles and examples.
  • Stay up-to-date with good practice, developing skills, knowledge, and experience through regular supervision and training.
  • Report any malpractice or concerns to a line manager or appropriate person.
Additional Duties:
  • Perform other reasonable duties as requested by management.
  • Work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays, on a rota basis as required.
  • Be flexible to work at other properties as directed by management.

We follow Safer Recruitment measures, and you will be subject to enhanced DBS checks before being offered a placement. You will receive regular micro-training to perform your role to the best of your ability. We encourage internal promotions and expect you to enter your Level 3 or Level 5 in an appropriate timescale.

Requirements to be successful:

  • Experience of working with children/young people in an Ofsted environment.
  • Level 3 CYPW or above.
  • Enhanced DBS Check and on the update service.
  • Ability to drive.
  • Smart and agile to handle the daily needs and activities of the young people.
