Business Development Manager Opportunity

Tate Guildford is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team in Guildford, Surrey.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven individual to achieve and exceed individual sales targets, contribute to site profitability, and build strong relationships with corporate customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve and exceed individual sales targets to contribute to the site profitability
  • Approach customers in a helpful, friendly manner to ensure a positive impression
  • Actively seek out new sales opportunities using proactive methods
  • Build a rapport with corporate customers to understand their requirements and ensure professional communication
  • Design and deliver tailored presentations to customers, covering key points such as model specification, competitor comparisons, tax implications, and cost of ownership
  • Design and implement a customer contact and prospecting plan to increase sales opportunities for new and repeat business
  • Keep up-to-date with product and accessories range
  • Report and take appropriate action based on activity on a regular basis
  • Offer integrated sales and aftersales solutions for local business customers, maximising business potential and ensuring excellent customer service
  • Arrange demonstrator test drives to fit with customer requirements
  • Adopt a flexible approach, enthusiastic, and driven approach to achieving financial goals

Requirements

  • Capable of conversing with others pleasantly, clearly, and effectively
  • Knowledge of sales processes, including the ability to fully and accurately qualify customer needs
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of customer legislation, regulations, and trade practices as well as vehicle legislation
  • An ability to think quickly during a negotiation process
  • High achieving, highly motivated team player with a desire to succeed
  • Ability to plan and organise daily selling activity to secure new business
  • Full UK driving license
  • Computer literate in Microsoft packages
