Accounts Assistant Job Description

Môrwell Talent Solutions is partnering with a business to fill an Accounts Assistant position on a 12-month Fixed Term contract.

The ideal candidate will earn up to £30,000 per annum.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supplier account setup and maintenance to ensure seamless financial operations.
  • Purchase ledger management including processing invoices in foreign currencies and preparing payment runs.
  • Financial reconciliation maintaining ledgers, preparing reconciliations and collating information from supplier statements.
  • Banking and credit card management timely reconciling accounts including Euro and Dollar accounts.
  • Expense processing ensuring proper authorization and adherence to expenses policy.
  • Sales invoice issuance supporting the finance team by issuing sales invoices as required.
  • Credit control and debt chasing assisting with credit control and debt chasing ensuring timely resolution of financial matters.
  • Financial controls and procedures assisting in improving the company's financial controls and procedures.
  • Nominal account analysis preparing basic analysis of nominal accounts as required.
  • Audit and tax support assisting with annual audit and tax packs by collating invoices/information to support accounting transactions.
  • Team collaboration working well as part of a team contributing to team deliverables and projects.
  • Time management meeting month-end deadlines with minimal supervision.

The role offers a salary of up to £30,000 and standard hours (8:00 – 5:00 Mon – Thursday, with a 3:30 finish on Friday).
