Care Social Work Specialist

This challenging yet rewarding role offers a competitive salary of £44,711 (Level one) rising to £47,754 (Level Four) per annum (pro rata for part-time), plus a welcome bonus of £3,250. About the Role
- Engage with children and their families to understand their unique needs and circumstances, identifying areas where support can be provided.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues from various disciplines to develop and implement effective care plans, promoting stability and security for children in care.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments to mitigate potential harm, taking proactive steps to safeguard children and prevent adverse outcomes.
Your Responsibilities
Main responsibilities include:
- Providing emotional support and guidance to children, empowering them to build resilience and confidence.
- Communicating effectively with families, community agencies, and other stakeholders to share information, coordinate services, and promote cooperation.
- Documenting all interactions, interventions, and decisions in a clear and concise manner to facilitate transparency and accountability.
About You
We seek applicants who hold:
- A Professional Social Work Qualification and current Registration with Social Work England.
- Direct experience working with children in a childcare setting, demonstrating expertise in assessment, intervention, and case management.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders, including children, families, and professionals.
- A valid full driver's license and reliable transportation, as well as adaptability to work variable hours when necessary.
