About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Community Key Worker to join our team in Colchester and Chelmsford. As a Community Key Worker, you will be working with women involved in the Criminal Justice System, providing holistic one-to-one support and advocacy services to help them achieve their goals and break the cycle of offending.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with women in the community, building relationships and providing support to help them meet their potential and successfully progress through and beyond their probation supervision.
  • Develop and implement individualised support plans, taking into account the unique needs and circumstances of each woman.
  • Collaborate with other agencies and stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to supporting women in the community.
  • Provide advocacy and support services to women, helping them to access resources and services that meet their needs.
  • Work in a team environment, contributing to the development and implementation of service strategies and initiatives.
Requirements
  • Experience of working with women in the Criminal Justice System, preferably in a keyworking or advocacy role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with women and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • Knowledge of the Criminal Justice System and the needs of women involved in it.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritising tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
