We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Sense, a national disability charity supporting individuals who are deafblind or have complex disabilities.
As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in empowering our clients to communicate, experience the world, and fulfill their potential.
Key Responsibilities- Provide 1:1 support to individuals with dual-sensory impairments, promoting personal and social development, and encouraging independence.
- Enable access to activities, promoting sensory experiences and communication skills.
- Support individuals with day-to-day activities, personal care, and hygiene.
- Accompany clients on community trips, promoting social interaction and inclusion.
- Full UK license with the use of your own vehicle.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and understanding of the needs of individuals with complex disabilities.
