Head of Commercial - Engineering Inspection

Overview

Munich Re seeks an experienced commercial leader to drive business growth and profitability across its engineering inspection division. This role involves developing and executing a commercial strategy, driving revenue growth and enhancing profitability.

Estimated Salary: £95,000 per annum

About the Job

We are looking for a seasoned professional with extensive commercial and pricing experience, preferably within the inspection industry. As Head of Commercial, you will be responsible for developing and executing the company's commercial and pricing strategy, driving revenue growth and enhancing profitability across both the In-Service and Consultancy divisions of the Engineering Inspection Business.

This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the engineering inspection market and a commercial mindset. As part of the Senior Leadership Team, this role will lead on all commercial strategy, pricing, and distribution activities for the Engineering Inspection business.

The ideal candidate will have proven leadership experience in previous roles, with strong commercial awareness capabilities and the ability to motivate and drive a culture of high performance.

Responsibilities

  1. Develop and execute the company's commercial and pricing strategy to drive revenue growth and enhance profitability.
  2. Lead on all commercial strategy, pricing, and distribution activities for the Engineering Inspection business.
  3. Contribute to wider organisational strategy and effective operational decision-making.
  4. Ensure organisational structure, processes, and governance are fully aligned with the vision and strategy of the business.

Requirements

  • Proven leadership experience in previous roles with extensive commercial and pricing experience (preferably within the inspection industry).
  • Strong commercial awareness capabilities.
  • Able to motivate and drive a culture of high performance.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the business, economic, and market environment in which non-life property carriers operate.
